Upland parades itself as a software company but all they do is acquire different companies. Pay is a joke for COL in Austin, TX. They will tell you what your base + commission will be to bring you on but what they DON’T tell you is what product you’ll be selling. AE’s and DSR’s are not hitting quota. How they think this is sustainable beats me. It used to be fully WFH, then it went to 3 days in office, to now 4 days in office. DO NOT RECOMMEND! If you want to work in SaaS, find a software company that actually cares about its product(s).

There is no real path toward career growth—no 401k match or salary increases. The priority is mergers and acquisitions rather than innovating or maintaining the products—how can you cross sell when clients are growing dissatisfied with that they already have?
