Pros
The benefits are a great package and plenty of time off. I worked for several departments on campus as a student and had great experiences with great people. As a professional the last place I worked was supremely negative (see cons).
Cons
I was baited and switched in the hiring process. The culture was full of micromanagement and passive-aggressiveness. Politics was a part of daily life to the point that it interfered with getting work done. In my particular position it was explained in no uncertain terms that the position was salaried so that they could get away with working the employee far beyond a normal work load.
