Working as an undergraduate researcher gave me some opportunity to apply real science in a lab. Also great for a resume.

Cons

We were always fighting for grant money. Compensation is right around minimum wage.

Pros

USU provides great benefits. Pay is reasonable, particularly considering the low cost of living in Logan. Great coworkers. There are some great outdoor activities in and around Logan.

Cons

As with many companies, there are definitely "politics" to deal with. Some of the websites and IT systems desperately need to be updated.

Pros

In my particular job, I have a flexible schedule and decent benefits. I enjoy the people and the work environment. I have been able to gain experience while in school.

Cons

The pay is not on par with what I could have made elsewhere, but it is reasonable for Logan. There is some bureaucracy to deal with from time to time.
