The simplest way to put it is 'management.' The executive team, both old and especially new, are difficult, inexperienced, petty, inflexible, and holier-than-thou on a regular basis. When one of my managers had a problem with another of my managers, I was placed firmly in the middle by being instructed to deliver assignments between them! I was actually ordered to give assignments to my direct manager because the higher up was such a petty and angry exec! Toxic doesn't begin to describe it. More like 'nuclear.'
It's good that the virus response saved this company, because upper management is so clueless that they would have definitely gone out of business without the surge in video delivery needs.
