mostly the money i guess

literally everything else. i was so lucky to get out when i did. i’m not sure how i missed all the red flags for so long honestly. it’s a complete cult-like work culture, from the toxic positivity, to the write-ups for “being negative” (aka being burnt out and feeling overworked) instead of management asking how they could help. i saw more than one person be wrongfully terminated while i was there. people drop like flies and there’s never an explanation.

Definitely a cult-like toxic environment. Sadly, they portray themselves as the world's best emergency hospital which is indeed not the case. Inexperienced doctors and MDs. Mostly the people that sit at VQ are not as talented as they would like you to believe and very well insulated. This will only take them so far and it is a matter of time before this philosophy catches up with them. False promises, and all smoke and mirrors. Don't buy into the BS. Save yourself time and if ER medicine is your thing do your homework first. This is hardly at the level it claims to be.

Cons

lack of communication between departments, dictator-like leadership, no one's job is guaranteed safe, was promised a workplace that cares about their employees but ended up getting just another corporate job.
