Pros

Good benefits, wide spending budget for work attire, 3/12s

Cons

They preach and advertise benefits yet management is insanely micromanaging and dictating every decision despite following guild lines. It really depends on the day you catch them and if they are in a good mood or bad mood. They will target you if they do not think you fit into the mean girls group. They will encourage you to make a decision on a problem in the hospital that you were never given proper training for and then reprimand you for it. If you don’t drink the coolaid hard and fit in with the ‘groupies’ you will be pushed out. They fire people without proper proof and hr does nothing about it. They threaten employees to not talk about previous people that were fired. They advertise work life balance, but refuse to give you the time off if you can’t find coverage despite giving them months notice. And yes, they will decline pto last minute if they can’t find coverage. They will attempt to eliminate you if you push back on management or become a problem. They will not provide proper staff and when you have a lunch violation you are reprimanded. The medical director is super disrespectful to the technicians. They hire hospital managers that 0 experience in the field and allow them to make decisions on scheduling and coverage. The hospital manager, medical director and there newest short lead are the ultimate cons.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. This is not the environment we want to create for our VEGgies. Managers play a vital role in the VEG experience, so your feedback is really important as we work with them to grow and develop as leaders. Even though you’ve moved on, if you’re open to sharing more, please reach out to stephaniedemars@veg.vet so we can improve the experience for future VEGgies.
