Pros

I enjoy working for HPCCR, as I feel good about our mission and thankful for the great care we provide to patients and their families. It is meaningful work that we are providing to our community. It is an honor to work with such caring staff members and volunteers. We truly are making an impact in the lives of those who we serve.

Cons

It can be emotionally heavy work, as you have care and concern for those under our care. This is not necessarily a con, but emotionally it does impact you, and if anything, encourage you to live your life to the fullest.

Pros

HPCCR is an organization that not only cares about their patients and families, but also about their employees. The culture of caring starts in the organization first, caring for each other, before we care for our patients/families. Truly honored to work for such a great organization!

Cons

In hospice work, you must learn self care. This is not a con for HPCCR, but a reminder for all those in the field of end of life care.

Lots of charting, on call demands can vary from almost none to excessive depending on census and staff turnover
