Good place to work, but we're worked hard.

Pros

Good products, marketable experience, training opportunities with financial support, good benefits (health insurance, pension, share discount), decent vacation allowance, nice work environment with free coffee, snacks, etc. The work is pretty enjoyable too although maybe not for everyone. I like problem solving and the work is not monotonous by any means.

Cons

It's hard work. There is a constant stream of cases being assigned and it can be a bit overwhelming, especially when you're starting out. Also, too much focus on CSATs and DSATs. Customer satisfaction is important of course but some customers are just unreasonable.

Pros

They treat employees well at VMware. With free, snacks, lunches, drinks. Awesome health benefits, etc. The environment among support is very friendly and co-operative.

Cons

Over the years since the company has gotten very top heavy with way too much management. They micromanage and interfere with supports work all the while not fixing any of the core company problems like being short staffed and over worked with case average per TSE climbing.
