Pros

I loved working at VMware. Best place to work in the Valley in my opinion. People are super cool, the managers I had were genuinely interested in my success, and I felt really good about the work in general.

Cons

Several changes of CEOs brought abrupt, badly planned direction shifts and caused them to lose a lot of ground they gained early in the 2000s. The Dell acquisition is the most recent example of this lack of direction.

Continuous change of Executive staff at present seemingly instability within the company. You must be prepared to work hard with very little downtime
