Pros

Great environment to work in. Team around you are very helpful. Local management take a really collaborative approach to the team. Feedback and suggestions are greatly encouraged and will be implemented if viable. Although quarter end periods can be very busy local management do everything they can to make these times more bearable. Usually some downtime the week after to make up for the long efforts and hours. Some time in lieu also. Opportunity to take on project work too outside of your day to day role. Really good focus on social culture in VMware. Free on site gym and always some activities on the cards to get involved in. Load of opportunity to get involved or start societies.

Cons

Career path can be slow in OM. It's a very mature team structure so can be a case of waiting for someone to leave the team before any movement is made. It's rare new promotional roles are created and not much room to go outside any benefits structure no matter how well you are performing. It's very right place/right time in that sense.Expect to work long hours 2/3 weeks leading up to quarter end which is non negotiable as the business is based around these numbers.
