      Pros

      Discounted food and decent pay and other benefits.

      Cons

      If you get an offer from VMware, think twice before you sign the offer! The new employees are most likely to get laid off during the annual layoffs. If you are on work visa, you will be destroying your career and your family by joining this company. Layoffs are so random and they are not related to your performance. You can be laid off for no reason within months of joining VMware. Please realize why VMWare doesn't rank in the top 100 companies to work for any more! No matter how many billions company rakes in every year, there will be annual layoffs period!

      Good employee stock purchase program.

      Cons

      The Atlanta office is run like a communist dictatorship. All fun, professionalism, trust of employees and sense of accomplishment will be crushed. They are dishonest and weeds out any non loyal employees, regardless of your success. Don't trust the corporate Kool-aid that you have a chance of ever being promoted. The top earners never get promotions even after years of service. Too many managers and no growth in this office.

      Pros

      Good work-life balance, the stock is doing really well and the opportunity to learn VMware technologies that will eventually enable me to work for my own self. Great co-workers: smart and driven.

      Cons

      - Bad managers - Huge trust deficit - Scathing emails are regularly sent - Managers do not know how to communicate - Some AirWatch managers in position of power do not understand basic business principles either, talk about cannibalizing other teams' services without realizing - Southern culture sadly permeates this office: conscious and unconscious bias is on full display, respect for minorities severely lacking
