      Pros

      VMware is a leader in one of the most promising domains in the enterprise space. It has one of the best brands around.

      Cons

      The engineering managers are very bad at planning. Most products, other than the flagship ones, do not have a plan. With acquisitions happening all the time, there is tremendous pressure on all the teams to prove themselves. This translated in to very bad work life balance for the team members executing. The compensation does not match the efforts put in, and that does not help in any way.

      Pros

      Company with vision, focus, and execution. It is a place with technical focus, development and training. Great group of peers.

      Cons

      Career growth and path are limited. Management is at times not in tune with the value and benefit its employees provide.

      Pros

      Maybe the best technology to be a part of in 40 years. It works better then advertised, the support was great and customers love the products.

      Cons

      The worse overall group of Sales Management in the software industry. Don't just look at the sales results. The team in the field is second to none, the management needs to move on. Not honest and they don't need to cheet. What a disapointment to watch their example.
