      Professional Services offers bonus increases depending on your quarterly billable hours, quickly accelerating PTO, 5 additional days off to do community service

      Cons

      If you're not working on the major VMware products, or if you're not in the HQ offices, you can feel detached

      Pros

      The work is very rewarding because you learn new technologies in a very rapidly growing field. You also meet all kinds of customers around the coutry or possibly the world. It's a very exciting job that never gets boring. VMware invests heavily on training, more than other companies I've worked for.

      Cons

      The travel can be anywhere from 50% to 75% depending on your location and specialties. The work week is typically Monday-Friday. Travel can be challenging with a family.

      Innovation, energy and excitement about building revolutionary products. In a few short years, VMware has completely changed the way the industry thinks about building their products, as well as how the enterprise thinks about their technology needs. It's exciting to be a part of a place that is so revolutionary. Also, beautiful campuses (Palo Alto, Cambridge and Austin), and fun work environment.

      Cons

      Some processes need to be changed- VMware needs to catch up to our rapid growth, but still be nimble enough to stay innovative.
