Pros
Loved my team, loved the environment that encouraged learning. Good compensation and lots of little perks like random days off.
Cons
More kickoffs than the NFL. Every quarter we had probably a minimum of 4-5 corporate kickoff meetings. Culture of promotion-driven development means if you're a cog, you get to remain a cog, deal with the growing technical debt, and keep the lights on, unless you come up with a flashy proof of concept for yet another in-house tool that someone else will have to maintain alongside a pile of similar tools. If you want to advance your career, your best bet, other than to leave, is to apply to another team within the company.
