Pros

More vacation time than other companies. Collaborative environment. Less strict on hours of operation. Stipend to take classes. Stipend for extracurricular group activities. No busy work.

Cons

If the project is heavy your hours will be too. Sick days are considered part of PTO.

Pros

Vertical and horizontal integration: As an entry-level employee, I have the opportunity to work directly with employees of any seniority; there have been times when it has just been the CEO, a Partner and me working through client work in a meeting. I also work fluidly with any discipline. Unlike other agencies, VSA is not extremely siloed, which allows for interaction with employees of any discipline. The experience: Especially as it pertains to my discipline, strategy, I have been able to work on -- and at times, fully implement -- many types of branding initiatives. My job is much, much more than just writing creative briefs; it requires the drive and scrappiness inherent in the VSA DNA that is promoted through company culture and values and embodied by employees.

Cons

While I feel as if I am getting incredible experience through client opportunities and collaboration with fellow employees, I often feel as if I am not valued for the work I am doing.

Pros

Great minds work here. Some of the thinking in this space is dazzling. VSA has a specific eye for detail and way they approach their work, and everything that comes from the company is thoughtfully designed. Compensation is fair benefits are mostly good, but could go further.

Cons

All agencies struggle with creating the right balance. That is agency life. I wouldn't say they do better or worse than anywhere else in this. There is a lot of reinventing the wheel because of how exacting and bespoke they are. The organization can feel a bit top heavy.
