extremely flexible

Pros

was extremely flexible; little-to-no micromanaging; extremely socially progressive office environment from management regarding DEI; hybrid schedule; free snacks and drinks

Cons

terrible pay; absolutely little-to-no promotions (unless you befriend the right people in the beginning of your employment); little-to-no salary raises; did not gain any meaningful experience; did not gain any meaningful learning; noticed some predatory behavior from male coworkers on MANY occasions (I think we should have had harassment / equity training, but there was none. many of these men forgot this is a WORKPLACE not social hour / dating hour.)

Pros

- Easy to get hired with little to no experience - Experience depends on assignment - Light work load in my experience - Easy way to connect with large companies - Networking if you are able to be placed on a team that is more collaborative with contract company. I don't think this is typical at Vaco however. - Biggest highlight: This role got me the experience to find a role at a new company where my career opportunities and pay are exponentially higher

Cons

- Low pay, even if you're a team lead. I received a pitiful 3 dollar raise when promoted to team lead for a major tech company. - Your experience will definitely be determined on your assignment. - Was promised a raise for a whole year. When I requested it at the year mark, it was denied. Even when performance was steadily of a higher caliber than some of my teammates. - Management seems to settle for mediocracy in its hires.
