Pros

Patrol management at Park City Mountain works hard to communicate effectively and clearly, and obviously cares for the patrol team. The team culture has been built intentionally and consciously to be inclusive and focused on helping team members to be the best patrollers they can be. It is a place that feels good to show up to work each day.

Cons

It feels like the Vail management, and even occasionally the Park City Mountain management, do not listen to the concerns and needs of patrollers. This is evidenced by the patrol union going on strike in the winter of 2024/2025. Although I truly believe the Park City patrol management has the best interests of the patrol team in mind, the disconnect between the union and Vail has created some difficult dynamics. This was felt especially during the winter immediately following the union strike.
