It's an ok place

Pros

Decent hours, decent pay, some good people

Cons

Upper manangement changed. The company seems very disorganized since then. New CEO believes whole heartedly in college degrees. Some great people who have worked there 20+ years were passed by on promotions only because no degree. Instead outside people were brought in and these people have no idea what they're doing and everything is a big mess right now.

CEO: Thank you for the comment. The Company is reorganizing as we experience growing pains and install new CNC machines to comply with the requirements to reshore our manufacturing processes. To build our ranks with future leaders we have begun a formal career planning program in 2018 for all employees including outside training, special assignments, and doubling the tuition reimbursement for college studies in 2018. We believe that employees with all backgrounds when provided with good training and support can succeed at Val-Matic.

Pros

The people we work with are great. Constantly trying to improve our processes and products. Management looks to other employees for ideas and concepts.

Cons

Shoe reimbursement policy needs a update. Education assistance from PEO is not a feasible amount for graduate work.
