      Pros

      People working there are all very nice and genuinely believe in the product they're selling.

      Cons

      Team has a strong camaraderie because the product is a mess and seems to take five steps backward every time they take one forward, necessitating long hours of drinking together and complaining about management. Executive team is constantly trying to push and push expectations to clients further out to get themselves out of hole they've dug themselves into. CEO is a nice person but obviously struggles with running a business, has a very laissez faire attitude toward missed product release deadlines, seems to feel he can just keep pushing dates back and then gets confused when people cancel. Company had a great opportunity to be at the forefront of the industry for years to come, but now will unfortunately fill that same amount of time repairing client relationships and their own reputation as a trustworthy company.

      Pros

      Other than the office location, there aren't any 'pros'.

      Cons

      Management is practically non-existent. Little to no management experience, disorganized, and severe lack of proper communication. The hiring manager continually referred to themselves as a 'Big B----' and I would not disagree. Since 90% of Valant's management team has been internally promoted into these positions, entitlement seems to be a severe issue as well. Additionally, client complaints are through the roof. Leading to an everyday flood of calls, backed up 'complaint/IT tickets', and subscription cancelations.

      Pros

      I started at Valant three months ago, and it has so far been an amazing experience. The people here are so invested in both the company, and the product, and most importantly, the customers, that it is inspirational every day. It is also an honor to be working for a company who's product is designed to help Doctors achieve their goals of improving the lives of their patients, and knowing that we are part of making a positive difference. In addition, our customers are very passionate about our software (and demanding in a good way) - showing that what we do really matters to them and their clients. The size of the company is large enough to be organized, and small enough to know everybody. Lastly, the downtown location is really great, creates a lively environment both within and outside the company's doors.

      Cons

      It has been quite a year in 2019, as the company has undergone some significant changes, with new ownership, and with a return to the core of what the product is and who it is for. This has meant some significant changes. In addition, there are significant growth goals moving forward, driving yet more change. Valant is not a place for people who are change resistant and want to do the same thing everyday.
