      Pros

      Valant is well positioned to own on a bigger share of a large market with modern software, engaged employees and a crisp go-to market strategy. Existing customers are loyal.

      Cons

      Some recent turnover of employees has been a challenge but the company is continually recruiting new talent who bring with them fresh ideas and energy.

      Casual work environment with little oversight or structure.

      Cons

      Lack of leadership. Senior management is chasing money, lack of middle management and technical vision. Heavy use of offshore contractors that are widely dispersed makes working hours difficult. Fundamental security issues still unresolved with no plan to address. High turn-over of technical leadership is a warning indicator (3 leaders, less than 2 years).
