Meaningful change hamstrung by CTO's 'quick win' strategy, sacrificing consistency, stability, and predictability for some quantification he can tout to his board. People and individuals are not part of that equation. Building teams and competence is not part of that equation. Short-sighted figure-forging seems to be the theme at the expense of everything else. Leadership is top-down egocentric, immature, and emotionally unintelligent. When they're not belittling each other behind their backs, they're using company-wide meetings to do so. Not an environment that fosters any sort of trust. Leadership actively encourages and engages in denigration of co-workers as a means of manipulating said leadership's optics. Said another way, they don't hesitate to throw anyone under the bus to make themselves look less like crap, an accountability deficit they try to force anyone but themselves to pay. Culture engenders cannibalistic tendencies. Backstabby, selfish, dog eat dog culture.
