      Pros

      Great company! I felt like I was working with family. The CEO isn't so far up the ladder that an intern can't meet him. Lots of intelligent people to work with. Good pay!

      Cons

      Some remote locations like McKee and Port Arthur. Limited flexibility, Valero is an oil refiner. Not a global company, strictly US refining.

      Pros

      Competitive pay, good benefits. Depending on who you end up working for, your experience could be great, but some departments have more politics than others.

      Cons

      Their CIO was fired about 5 years ago, and a lot of the mindsets and politics that led up to that remain prevalent in the existing organization. But, if you work hard and don't fight the politics, you could have a great career there.
