      Pros

      Decent pay and decent benefits. The opportunity to promote is still an option.

      Cons

      Valero does the bare minimum to keep employees. They used to pride themselves on being an industry leader. Now they seem to do just enough to get lost in the pack. They have killed the desire to go the extra mile.

      Pros

      Valero has an excellent company culture, outstanding benefits, great employee training programs, is engaged in community service, and is a stable, growing organization.

      Cons

      There are many opportunities for advancement in the company but there are few related to my skills and experience in employee training and development. It's a very traditional company so it doesn't allow for working from home or flexible schedules like 9/80s or 4/10s.
