      A little bureaucratic, but perhaps one of the best employers in Texas

      Pros

      Great facilities, motivating work. Perhaps some of the best Senior VPs within the industry (knowledge and leadership). A great, stable organization with great pay and benefits.

      Cons

      Can be very bureaucratic and somewhat risk adverse. Not necessarily open to new ideas. The refining industry can be somewhat old school in management technique.

      Pros

      Great benefits, great salaries, I had great bosses and flexibility. There are also a lot of great employee incentives like jean days, bonus breakfasts, and United Way kickoff parties.

      Cons

      There is not a good mix of diversity, which is one of my biggest complaints. It's just very very old school corporate America, very conservative. Some people are perfectly fine with that, so it's really a matter of preference.
