Work alone at your pace.

This company will promise you one pay and extra incentives and then take your pay away and pay you squat for busting your hump from 8-11. All expenses NOT COVERED as stated before me. No Mileage. Took several tries to get direct deposit working, nobody knows what they are doing. You think you are picking up a bag in a waste basket a night, but several bags are allowed at the front door, usually not tied. Your own truck gets disgusting. Lied big time about my pay, with a story that absolutely made no sense, it was laughable as I was being told on the phone.

Pros

Stable job. Somewhat Flexable schedule. Company truck, Gas card, Maint card. Great people to work with.

Cons

Compensation is below jobs with similar title and job functions. They want to take more money from the people that do the job. That is the service valets. The ones whom do the dirty work. Senior management is completely focused on quantity not quality of the service. Would rather save a few pennies than take care of their employees. Company has gone from a family oriented atmosphere to robots on an assembly line.

The executive level of the company has decided to completely remove the District Manager position and break it into multiple roles. What sounds great on the surface is anything but that. Area Leaders (formerly District Managers) are no long a salaried position and have been moved to hourly workers with ridiculous qualifications of what's "labor". With less than a week of notice, we were told that we had to perform all of our same tasks & duties but we'd be clocking in and out while doing them. Any travel for work (most of the driving you've been/will be doing) without "work before hand" will be considered an unpaid commute. We used to have the ability to interact with our clients, hire/interview at the hours that applicants were available to speak and submit reports when available. Now we are squeezed into a very tight evening window (clock in at 4 PM when most offices are closed by 5 or 6 and only want to interact with you first thing in the morning) where you have to get all of your admin and operations work done. If you go over 40 hours in a week (a time study was conducted before this happened and most people were logging over 100 hours a week), you're told that you cant manage your time and to figure it out before you get replaced. If you see a posting for "District Manager" or "Area Leader", run dont walk away. You're going to be hired into a company that's actively trying to destroy itself, aggravating clients and you're going to be making about $20K less than your predecessor (DM Salary, approx $50K-60K, Area Leader Salary approx $35K-40K) for a more stressful work environment. If you're currently an employee dealing with the non-transparent transition, take advantage of the time you cannot work and work a side job, business or go back to school. This was an okayish company years ago but it's just a manager-mill at this point that wants to chew you up and move onto the next sucker. Expect to see a lot of job openings for this company in 1 year. That is when the "retention bonuses" will be stopped and all of the experienced employees are going to pull the trigger on their immediate departure from the organization.

The transition from District Manager to Area Leader was part of a larger effort to address feedback we’ve received from team members over the years. Many District Managers had expressed concerns about their schedules and the impact on their work-life balance. To address this, we re-evaluated the role and redistributed some responsibilities to other parts of the company. This change was designed to simplify tasks and establish more structure, including an evening core schedule to better align with when our associates are most active. As for pay and work hours, the compensation details mentioned aren’t accurate, and our time study data doesn’t reflect 100 hour work weeks. That said, we understand that every transition brings adjustments, and we’re committed to listening to feedback and improving wherever we can. We value our associates and the important work they do. While change can be difficult, our focus remains on building an environment that fosters balance, clarity, and support for our teams.
