Pros

I felt compelled to share my experience working at Valet Living. I saw some negative reviews and it bothered me. Unfortunately, people can say whatever they want on social media, whether it's true or not. I've been with Valet Living for over 4 years. They offer a competitive salary with unlimited potential in commissions. The benefits are awesome; including medical, vision and dental insurance that is affordable. Oh, did I mention they offer FTO instead of PTO? That's Flexible, unlimited time off, in case you've not heard of it. My position allows me to office out of my home, which I love. They provide me with the tools and equipment I need to perform my job. They reward top performers, not only with unlimited commissions, but those that achieve or surpass their quotas go to President's Club. This year, it's Jamaica. Does your company offer these incentives?

Cons

Don't get me wrong, I love working from home but if you're driven and financially motivated, I find that I sometimes work more than 8 hours in a day.

Pros

They hire “the hungry” as they put it, and will overlook missing experience for their entry level manager role (district manager), if they think you’ll perform (20-80 weekly) manual labor as an exempt employee.

Cons

Leadership has limited understanding of the actual industry. The process and tools are not designed to meet the contractual obligations, let alone the promises, made to clients or employees.

Pros

Company card, truck, phone, and laptop provided. Plenty of exercise and potential to “work from home.”

Cons

Truck has an AI GPS that monitors everything and will even flag you for unsafe driving if you scratch your nose. Split shifts aren’t true as you’ll spend most of your morning responding to office complaints about missed trash, so you’ll have to go collect anything missed and report it into the app with photos. Staff isn’t paid well and have low determination to work so you’ll be collecting trash at 1-4 communities a night. No real days off since contract for communities are collection nights either Sunday-Thursday or Sun. Mon. Tues. Thurs. Friday or the occasional community with 6 or 7 night collections. Sales team will be a constant thorn in your side talking to your offices and causing more problems without understanding the logistics or realistic possibilities of completing their promises.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience working at Valet Living. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve our operations and create a better work environment for our associates. We are sorry to hear that you faced some challenges during your time with us, including the sensitivity of our AI GPS system, unclear communication about shift schedules, low pay rates, and a heavy workload. We appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention and would like to assure you that we are taking steps to address them. To start, we ensure that our team members provide more clear and concise communication about shift schedules and days off to our candidates during the interview process. The District Manager position has a variable shift which includes morning, afternoon, and potential evening hours based on the district's needs. Regarding pay rates and motivation, we understand the importance of fair compensation and incentives to motivate our team. We have continuously reviewed our pay structures and worked to implement changes to create a more equitable and motivated workforce. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts with us, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
