Pros

It has been a year since I joined Valtech. I am in a Mobility project under the umbrella of Connected Experience (CXP) practice led by Ashish Thomas. I joined as a Senior Software developer. Core java, microservices, RESTful services, Spring framework are a few of the skills I hone. Growth. Opportunities. Recognition. The words that I can use to describe Valtech. Now to get down to the business. Pros : * Terrific projects. Valtech has high profile clients and partners, the company is expanding and so are the projects to work on. * Personal care. I can only speak for the practice I’ve been in and caring about your fellow peers is highly encouraged here in CXP. * There is a mentor-mentee concept and the first objective of a mentor is to ensure their mentee’s personal well being. * There is a company-wide wellness program, counsellors available to assist you. * Abroad provision. Since there are clients all over the world and Valtech has several offices in the world, travel opportunities are next door. * Technical prowess. The peers working here are outstanding in what they do. It also helps that you get to work with colleagues from all over the world, so technical exposure and knowledge exchange are highlighted. * Initiatives. Never before have I seen a company/vertical/practice with such rich initiatives. * To enrich your backend skills and microservices, there is a separate program. * Presentation, professional writing and creativity, are the skills a leader must have and there is a program that supports building those skills. * Frontend technology grabs everyone’s attention and SMEs lead a program for that. * The above are just a few, there are many. * Training. Valtech ardently believes in constant learning and upskilling oneself, so regular training is conducted on topics that align with the organisation’s and your personal goals. * Rewards and recognition. You are recognised for all the work you do, in different domains, and are aptly rewarded. * Inclusivity. A friendly working environment for everyone. You are heard and your ideas are always taken into consideration. * A part of bigger something. Once you are in Valtech, you become a part of it. In CXP, you are supported in all the ways to make sure you get everything you need to deliver. * Identifying what your strong skills are and what you lack. Then you will get help from a peer or through a course to bridge the gap. * If something is bothering you or if you are not entirely sure of which project to be in, you are given opportunities to try out other projects. I've been promoted to the position of Lead Developer now and I get feedback and bits of advice on how to take new responsibilities. Ashish Thomas, despite being one of the Senior Directors of the company, personally sees to that all the employees under his wing are guided properly, given apt exposure and taken care of. This builds a solid relationship based on trust and makes you want to be here and contribute to the long haul.

Cons

All these experiences are from WFH. So there isn't a negative remark for me to pen down here.
