What we do for humanity each day is truly amazing.

Management is terrible The career path is to follow the exit sign. If you don't have any ambition this is the place for you! There is no urgency in management HR is a joke

Great Company but going downhill with management styles/culture

Great Benefits. Great Mission. Fiscal responsibility

Cons

The management style is the worst I've experienced in the years of working with staffing functions. It was like they introduced a culture/style of cancer into a company that fights cancer and there has been a demotivating effect which has spread to other parts of HR. My recommendation is that if you are approached to join the recruiting organization at Varian, run as far away as possible. It's no surprise to see the negative feedback on the staffing from non-HR reviewers in here.
