Pros

High energy work environment which encourages collaboration. Excellent training, and organized onboarding process which makes for a smooth transition into the role. Great opportunity to work with an amazing product that is taking the market by storm. We have frequent marketing events which helps to generate lots of fresh leads and create buzz in the security space. They are constantly looking for new ways to innovate not only the product but the overall experience of being an employee at Varonis. Brand new beautiful office with a fully stocked kitchen is one of a kind. They also bring in special guest speakers to educate/inform us on relevant interests (Meditation, photography, finance) as examples. Team happy hours and events are always fun too! Generous reimbursement perks for transportation and cell phone as well as 401k match and stock options.

Cons

Very high pressure, metric driven organization. 1000 mph environment which can be overwhelming at times. (Thank god for Mental Health coverage) Territory alignment can sometimes get messy and there is sometimes a lack of communication and transparency between departments.

Pros

- The product works and everyone needs it. The market is hot and Varonis has a unique, well-engineering suite of products. Almost every single prospect sees the value. - I found compensation to be at or slightly above the market. Other than PTO which is pretty weak, the benefits are the best I've had in my career. - During the hiring process, the 5 or 6 people I spoke with were all very forthcoming and seemed honest. After coming on board, I sense a lot of integrity among my coworkers. - As a sales engineer, you're asked to own a lot of the sales process. I wasn't used to this, and thought about listing it as a con, but it's actually interesting and has been great for my professional development. - Working remotely is great and there are LOTS of internal resources and support.

Cons

- Ramp up was stressful. Expectations are very high and the demands of training easily outpaced the hours in the day. For a few months, I was working more hours than I was comfortable with to keep up. It has evened out a bit, but the pace still feels breakneck a lot of the time. - As others have noted, the company is obsessed with metrics and rolling up reports. There have been days where I've spent hours on internal reports, sometimes updating the same information in multiple places. You are expected to be hyper-organized but the tools and processes (CRM) don't make it easy.

Pros

Great product! Demo's great! Relevant security needs for everyone. competitive salary and decent benefits

Cons

Inadequate tools and resources in place to manage a territory (CRM), lack of collaboration etc. Immature company with lack of inspirational sales leaders -- I am sure over time they will grow into something much more stable. No work/live balance / culture felt toxic at the top and I felt disposable as an employee. Most micro-managed environment I have ever worked in with high expectations set on employees, but Varonis management doesn't walk the walk. They only talk the talk. Price tag too high - clients see the value but to keep the price so high, sales cycle is 2 years.
