Pros

As a support engineer there is Constant challenge to stay up to date with industry and software updates and new feature sets of whatever software(s) you are supporting. There is plenty of growing opportunity here for those who have the chops for it. That said there is plenty of professional growth opportunity here as well. Recently Veeam has opened the door for talent retaining salary and are paying industry standards for Admin level equivalent jobs. The work culture is unique and fun. Never a dull day at Veeam!

Cons

The amount of things you need to know about is very wide and at times very deep, and this pool of knowledge only ever grows, while management has seen this as a thing that is needing specialists for different areas and is working to branch out, while we all know it is hard to find good candidates that can hit the ground running - they had hiring issues from this. The lump sum of it is that the employees are overworked from company growing pains. Upper management habitually have the wrong idea(s) and hold on to it for way too long in our policies as we grow to meet new challenges (not many bad ideas, but a considerable amount).

Can’t think of any because there is too many cons.

Cons

Huge pressure on goals and crazy micromanagement on activity. Unreasonable sales target impossible to hit, and when target not hit, managers will chase for status for open pipes everyday and it make you feels like debt collector instead of a professional sales rep. Once you hit target and the next year they increased your target nearly 100% to avoid you getting more paid outs. The job have created a significantly stressful working environment which in turn causes many health issues, but they don’t care about people, They will just treat you as a robots, not humans, they’ll question you whenever you have a break or went to a bathroom for too long. They count how many minutes you are on the phone daily and if you have not enough minutes they will blackmail you that you might get fired, that’s it, nobody will appreciate your efftos in this company.
