Good hard working people. A lot of us have 20yrs.plus experience.
Cons
Management doesn’t understand or care how difficult it is to get equipment operational and correct. They only care about deadlines and the bottom line.
Long time employee opinions are ignored. We have been working in house all through the pandemic while others work from home for no apparent reason.
Too many upper management positions filled by number crunchers w/o practical experience.

Thanks for sharing your experience at Veeco. As someone who spent a lot of time in Horsham myself, I agree the people are good, definitely hard-working, and have been there quite some time. It sounds like you might have some ideas on how we can improve, but that takes communication and collaboration. I'd encourage you to talk to your manager or HR Partner about your concerns. You can also contact me or Bob Bradshaw directly. Even with the challenges you've listed, we appreciate you and all you do for Veeco and for making a material difference in Horsham.
Best,
Brenden
Decent salary, vacation and benefits. Working with people creating amazing technology.
Cons
Upper management seems overly concerned with the shareholders and market perceptions. A truly successful company would make them happier. Need the courage and finding to complete new projects in a timely manner.
Diverse workforce, nice facilities and office spaces
Cons
Horrible/ dishonest upper management, filled with “yes” men, bad culture, entrenched VPs who constantly play favorites and zero IT support.

Team I worked with were fantastic engineers. My immediate management backed me up when I needed it with a difficult customer.
Cons
I was changing to a job which was going to be full time travel. Upper management did not stand up for me against the customer which were using me as a contract negotiation tactic.
