Slow hire, fast fire

Pros

You get good work gear and some branded merch.

Cons

Hiring took 8 months. Not even for a senior role. 13-15 interviews. During the interview process I was informed by everyone that unfortunately the hiring process at veeva is very slow. Slow onboarding, not enough client work to get your billable hours up, hence low profitability. Got fired with no warning after 3 months. Never even heard from my manager. Asked for reference, got no responses. HR was rude to deal with, refused for couple of months to pay outstanding payments to me. For a company with one value being "do the right thing", Veeva managed to do many wrong things.

Pros

Benefits, great people to work with, varied days and challenging work

Cons

No standard onboarding for new staff, you experience is entirely dependent on line manager. That can set you up for success or leave you completely in the dark to sink or swim. Management will change direction with little notice. Opportunity to progress can be limited

Pros

- benefits and salary are good for Spain - nice office - people overall are nice and smart

Cons

- Product marketing is not close to the product or strategy. It's really more a normal (customer) marketing role- writing and creating of a lot of assets such as customer video's, whitepapers. There is a separate "Strategy" role and PMM is basically just supporting them. As a senior PMM I was asked to write meeting summaries of customer community meetings, and manage Q&A on webinars. - Lot of layers of approval to approve e.g. a simple landing page for a webinar - although they hire only very senior people- seems as a waste of time and lack of trust - competition between US and EMEA Marketing teams - Too many weekly meetings (PMM meeting, Global PMM meeting, EMEA meeting with Field Marketing, Global Marketing meeting)
