Pros

Remote first culture They pay the same no matter your location - for better or worse Work/life balance is great

Cons

If you're not hired in as a leader/manager, you likely won't become one Flat organization and growth opportunities are limited Your salary is based on your "contributions" to the team - these are subjective Each quarter they've "never made more profits" but they have cut some employee benefits and we get minimal raises

Pros

I remain friends with many of my former colleagues, as I believe Veeva does hire great people who align with the company's values and vision. The benefits here are great, from basic health/dental/vision to 401k contribution and earned stock options. The office itself is comfortable and inviting, with healthy snacks and meals available while working on site.

Cons

My pay upon being offered the job was low-balled and then legitimized by department leadership with the message to just take the offer presented because "you would be lucky to work here." I should have taken this as an important sign. Employees in my department are undervalued, not well-supported, overworked, burned out, and unhappy. There is a disconnect between the culture presented by top leadership and the reality of the employee experience. Morale on my marketing team was very low, and colleagues repeatedly reported issues to HR and asked for them to investigate management practices.
