Pros

- modern, nice offices - good company events - flexible working hours and location - no micro-management

Cons

- promotions are tough to come by (except if you are friend of a senior manager, then your success is guaranteed) - serious salary cuts occurred recently, which make Veeva Budapest less and less attractive - your role can change from one day to another because someone in the higher management thinks that is the right way... (whilst they have little or no clue what you do on your assigned project)

Pros

I have been working at Veeva several years Excellent community. Good working environment and flexible working hours. If you work at a Veeva competitor joining Veeva is a best way to restart your career.

Cons

No career mobility, unless you are comming from a competitor or build friendly relationship with higher management. Hard to find professional criteria in promotion policy. Management does not invest in professional development. Main focus is on maximize consultant utilization, and learning might jeopardize "Billable Hours" Work-live balance does not exist. Low tolerance for criticism. Stay away from Budapest office. Site recently ramped down, with major cut of benefits.

Pros

Decent pay, stock options are valuable, relevant technologies and the occasional team building event.

Cons

Poor management decisions and reaction to escalation, pressure to do what you are told even if there is a better option, a lot of working on your own, seniors scapegoating when things go wrong, unhappy and unhelpful peers who seem to disappear a lot, having to hear peers complain openly about how tools, work, and people are terrible but they don't get to defend themselves. Once I heard two management personnel joking 'this person should be fired' when something went wrong. That's not even funny and from anyone else wouldn't be acceptable but management seems to get away with a lot. Don't get on their bad side...or you are on your own.
