      Great Potential, Opportunities and Work Environment

      Pros

      Veolia has many positives as a company in Australia: it is well positioned in the market, offers an excellent work environment where people is happy to come to work (at least most of us are!). It has very good facilities and offers many benefits to its employees. Senior leaders are highly committed to growth, investment, development of its people and workplace safety.

      Cons

      I cannot think of any as a company. Sucess also depends on how much you want to commit to perform well and contribute.

      Great pay and benefits. Huge company and capital backing.

      Cons

      Arrogant management and culture. Don't use global experience. CEO and direct reports out of touch with the US water market. French employees given preference and a 'fee ride'. Low tolerance of political risk,

      Pros

      At the Operations level, still lots of opportunity....however, at Corporate, if you aren't a Water employee, this is a very different company than just 1.5 years ago.

      Cons

      Veolia ES no longer exists. Any remaining business and employees have been integrated into two business units (Industrial or Municipal). All former VESNA units are now in Industrial. All Senior Staff from VESNA are no longer there. This is the group that ran a profitable, growing business with smart decisions and great leaders. Employees were happy because we got our annual bonuses, and had opportunity. HR was visible, accessible, and while not always perfect, was there - and listened.
