      Too many growing pains & the cookie cutter expectations

      - Fun personalities - Casual team environment - Fully remote with equipment provided

      Cons

      - Pay not great - No upward advancement - Quarterly bonus pay is abysmal & offers no incentive to exceed in the role - Company not very diverse - HR department was dissolved. HR staff that had been with the company for years were let go without any warning. Loyalty means nothing, it seems - Managers are so swamped that multiple days will go by without them seeing your messages/emails - SEO role is not just SEO. It is a project management role with SEO tasks. You are expected to do 2 jobs even though there is a project manager for each product. - If you don't fit the expected mold, you won't get help. The managers like to "give direction, not directions" but if you are struggling, they will do nothing extra to help you succeed. - Expectations were extremely unclear. When I requested clear-cut expectations (MULTIPLE TIMES) I was told I "should know". - Products and teams are all over the place. No one really knows what's going on or what's happening.

      Great people to work with, challenging but fun work, decent pay

      Cons

      Over the past 8 months culture has gone downhill. The entire team seems to be on edge, stressed out, and over worked. The fun, uplifting culture we used to have seems to be diminishing, and everyone is on edge all of the time. It's a common conversation that people dread work when the week is over and it didn't use to be that way before. Also, there doesn't seem to be room for growth. It would be amazing if career opportunities were discussed with employees. Most of the entry-level positions are female, and management is male. It would be great if more management opportunities were available to women.
