Pros
Got along with most of my co-workers (no matter where you go, there are always a few bad apples). Profit sharing was nice. A lot of hands on, about 90%, if thats your thing then there is plenty of opportunity. The managers were fair for the most part and if i needed help they were always there.
Cons
Swing shift 12 hour nights/days. I worked at Valassis for 7 years and at first it was ok. After a couple of years i was experiencing sleeping problems, lethargy, and just all around not as motivated outside of the work setting. There was some favoritism and not a whole lot of positive feedback when a problem is solved. Very cut and dry, repetitive work with not a lot of variance.
