Pros

Good Pay. Team is full of highly technical and talented people. Hence one should keep learning to be on top. Free to use any latest technology. No strict timings.

Cons

No vision for upper management.

Pros

People who work here are very nice, and most are long-time employees. The company was just purchased a few months ago by Harland Clark Holdings which made Valassis go from publicly traded to privately held. Hopefully this will allow senior management to be less reactionary and able think long term vs. bowing to the constant concerns of how numbers look to analysts on an earnings call. New employee sales training is very good. Company values are strong and they practice what they preach.

Cons

The current sales pressure is immense and unrelenting. The company can be hard for clients to deal with (processes internally are extremely cumbersome, but they are working on fixing that).

Micro managed. Seniority always trumped weather or not you actually qualified for the position.
