The maxpoint merger resulted in the complete change of the company. Maxpoint now runs Valassis and their plethora of poorly trained managers is driving the company into the ground. Revenue numbers are missed and the client facing salespeople are the scapegoats.

Pros

The people I work with day-to-day are truly smart and talented! There are many opportunities to learn and grow in your field. Overall, Valassis Digital has a collaborative, constructive atmosphere. The company president visits often and makes a point to know your name. Now for the extra perks: There's an amazing barista onsite who can also make you lunch for a small fee. Tons of healthy free snacks and beverages, ping pong table, monthly game nights and occasional happy hours. We also have standing desks to save your back.

Cons

The transition period could be challenging at times, but mergers are tough for anyone. It went fairly smoothly and we came out on the other side with a great new website and we are working on integrating in our new coworkers. MaxPoint did have a few better benefits, but as part of a larger company, we still have generous PTO and other offerings that are competitive or better than most companies do.
