      Pros

      Teams are generally in control of their own culture. Some of them are great. Some parts of the company are very junior. There is a lot of opportunity for growth for those early in their careers.

      Cons

      2020 was a very difficult time for the advertising industry. Most of Vericast's revenue was exposed to this. After making some difficult moves to survive, ownership1 decided the best plan to restore revenue and growth was to fire the business leaders, install themselves as the C-suite, reorganize in neither a functionalized nor product-oriented way that they still cannot explain, remove any decision making power from these business units, and give a multimillion dollar consulting engagement to determine the actual future of the business to a close relative. Year-over-year revenue is down in 2021. 1. You might say "hey, they're the owners, they get to decide what to do." They're not really owners; the more accurate descriptor is "operators of the private equity firm that owns the company, and not traditional operators in that they have no stake because there is only one shareholder."
