Plan Not to Stay

Pros

It's a large company and it has a lot of large well-known companies as customers

Cons

Verint boasts about company values like integrity and humility, and they talk the talk on DEI and work-life balance, but they have demonstrated over and over that loyalty is not a Verint value. There have been several rounds of layoffs since 2022. Upper management proclaims that the people who were laid off are eligible to be considered for openings in other areas at Verint, but I never saw anyone from my division hired back in other areas after they were laid off. The most recent round was in Feb. and March 2025, just after a months long effort to get clients migrated to a new Verint platform. Employees put in many stressful hours to get this done according to Verint’s timeline. As soon as the migrations were completed, Verint pushed out many of these same employees. A clear message that hard work and being a team player gets you nothing. If your company is acquired by Verint, stay only as long as you need to. Upon acquisition, they will probably leave you alone for a short time, but then they will eliminate the aspects of your product and culture that your customers and co-workers most valued in order to shoehorn your products into their own product line. They will disappoint your customers, discount the experience and knowledge of your managers and colleagues, and eventually kick many of you to the curb. This suggests that senior management has a clear vision of where they want to go and how to get there. But sales and services get reorganized frequently, and the product names get changed about that often. The Product group shows no interest in what actual customers want or value in the products and services contracted for, and they don’t listen to the Verint employees who are on the front lines with these clients. So if you take a job with Verint, have a timeline and an exit strategy. Use Verint for the experience you will gain and then move on.
