Pros

Some very smart people who are genuine about the success of projects and working as a team. A lot of innovative ideas to address needs in the market. Somewhat unstable and difficult to troubleshoot given the amount of 3rd. party and open source software used to code and interact with the application.

Cons

No quarterly bonus is becoming the norm. T&M model, along with tracking daily time down to 30 min. increments, submitting a very granular time sheet every Friday and being reminded to open a time sheet before Monday can make one feel like a child vs. a technical professional. Annual comp. increase is below par. Application somewhat unstable and difficult to troubleshoot given the amount of 3rd. party and open source software used to code and interact with the application. Very touchy. One minor file tweak can impact a major component and be extremely difficult to solve for. Middle and upper management in some areas have become a revolving door with very senior staff leaving and new staff being asked to leave in a relatively short period of time. Sr. tenure staff seem to leaving in general if they can get out and find something else equal or better.

Pros

Salary is good. Benefits are standard. Vision plan could be better. They have all the holidays in the US, along with 10 PTO days the first year, and 2 floating holidays. They require everyone to take vacation between Christmas and New Year.

Cons

Some of the old timers have been together for a long time as the company went from Lagan to Kana to Verint. It can hard for a new person to break into the team, especially if they work remote. The support people are very overloaded and a new person is just more work. Some teams appear to be more supportive of their new hires than others. Parts of the software is quite complex. Often times, the customers have had more training than the person who is supposed to be supporting them.

Systems are out of date and inefficient. Promotions are rare.
