No work/life balance or benefits, but good experience.

Pros

There was a lot of opportunity to learn new things at Veritas. There was always a shortage of people, and plenty of work to do, so if you wanted to help out with something different, people welcomed you to explore tasks outside of your normal job description.

Cons

The work/life balance here is not good, most people are given an iPhone on day one and are expected to be on call 24/7 (including vacations). Benefits were absolutely horrible as well, you were nearly better off getting private insurance.

Pros

Most of the employees are a pleasure to work with, fast paced is always a plus(makes the days go by quick), Close to Metra so commuting is always easy.

Cons

Despite what everyone else says about the long hours and burning out employees, this is printing and its like this at most busy companies. You are warned upfront about the hours while in the hiring process. They don't lie about it. Employees wouldn't get burned out if they would spend more time focusing on their work instead of worrying about their personal business.

Pros

It's a great place to learn and dive into experience. There are benefits, but at a minimum. Maybe it will be different with RR Donnelley. This building is right by the Metra. I think that's a good perk.

Cons

They work you until you want to stomp your feet, cry, and run out the door. No appreciation/thank you for your hard work. Even if you're putting in 80 hours a week. You're just expected to do it.
