Pros

The only thing good will be having Verizon your resume when you leave, because you will leave.

Cons

Worst company I have ever worked for. Toxic management, toxic employees. Impossible quotas never adjusted for inflation or the economy. Multiple system issues daily. Impossible to navigate business accounts, no rep wants to help them. Impossible to transfer or move up as the jobs are never listed internally. They only list open positions externally on Verizon careers and will never list them internally. You are only able to apply internally and not externally though. Your managers and HR or the recruiter will never give you a reason why this is and tell you they don't know why. So no one in the company knows who is responsible for listing the jobs. So you will never be able to transfer to another store. Multiple woke trainings that have absolutely nothing to do with the actual job you are doing. I have never been able to take a 10 or 15 minute break since I have worked there, not one. Most days I never get a lunch break because we are too busy and too understaffed. Not busy with customers buying stuff either, just busy fixing their problems. So most days I work a 9 or 10 hour shift with NO BREAK, NONE, some days that is a 12 hour shift also. You better eat a big breakfast. We keep losing employees at our store and AI decided we cannot get replacements for them. AI has a special algorithm to decide this and no manager or district manager can over ride this. Speaking of managers mine has been written up by the company multiple times for harassing employees yet they will not fire them. Oh yeah, make sure to memorize your pronouns, because you will lose your job if you don't address someone by the correct pronoun. Not to worry though, you will get all the training you need for this to make sure you understand. AI orders the accessories also so you will constantly be out of what you need or want. Diversity and Inclusion is absolutely the ONLY thing the company cares about. The reality of this is it discriminates against those who don't qualify to be diverse. I will let you figure out what that means. Or just get a job for Verizon, as there will be hundreds of trainings on diversity and inclusion, so you will figure it out real quick. You will get cussed at a lot by customers and treated like a piece of garbage by them daily. Then on top of that you will have managers that abuse you constantly. I have never had a higher stress job in my entire life. You will have many health problems working here from the stress. Speaking of stress you are required to cold call random local customers daily. How does 20 or 30 cold calls sound before you start your shift. I have never had anyone purchase anything through a phone call. Literally thousands of calls, zero purchases or appointments. They will tell you how much they hate Verizon when you call them, and how they need you to lower the bill for them. You better get good at lowering bills because that will be why most of the customers come to the store, that or to get a sim card. Then you will get in trouble for not selling them something. So if you love being abused by a company and taken advantage of this place will be great for you.
