Pros

The position does in fact pay money If you're good at sales and competent with technology you can make a decent amount of money in commissions. That said when you cap out your commissions you're looking at maybe an extra thousand a month.

Cons

Management is openly bigoted. Slurs at the workplace constantly. They don't like when you ask them to knock it off. They also will fire you if you say you don't like ICE agents.

At Verizon, we take pride in our culture of inclusion, our commitment to non-discrimination and our compliance with law. The experience you describe is inconsistent with Verizon's core values of acting with integrity and treating our colleagues with respect. We encourage you to use our global compliance hotline, verizonethics.com to report your concerns and provide additional information that will allow us to follow up appropriately. The compliance hotline is available 24/7 to seek guidance and report concerns about ethics, compliance, or our Code of Conduct.

Pros

Top-Tier Perks: Benefits, flexibility, and diversity are outstanding. Strong Employee Investment: Significant effort goes into programs like tuition reimbursement and health & wellness. Customer-Focused: The company regularly adjusts to better serve its customers. Excellent Entry-Level Career Growth: Career advancement is great early on in your career.

Cons

Compensation Disparity: While benefits remain strong, base pay is declining relative to competitors. The continued investment in robust benefits programs, rather than competitive salaries, leaves employees feeling devalued and undermines overall compensation. Leadership Engagement: There is a perception that leadership is disengaged or "checked out," which impacts team morale and direction. Stalled Senior Career Growth: Advancement opportunities later in one's career (especially in operational roles and above) are bureaucratic and scarce. Without internal networking or connections, chances for promotion, even lateral movement, are slim. Limited Location Flexibility: The recent shift to centralize prominent roles in specific locations (e.g., New Jersey, Texas) significantly restricts internal mobility, making career moves difficult without a major life relocation.
