      Global team, flexible hours, but no growth and constant budget pressures

      Pros

      - Company continues to re-invent itself using cutting-edge tech and look for new revenue streams (cisco telepresence, home automation, smart grid, M2M communication) - Global team makes it a bit more interesting to work - Most managers allow flexible hours and remote work arrangements

      Cons

      - Constant downsizing and left too few to work on too much - Budget pressure continues to get ridiculous -- no travel, no new PCs, need VP approval to even order printer paper (so Managers never approve anything!!) - No growth, all the hiring is either offshore (Verizon India has over 6,000 now) or temp foreign contractors at low-low rates (so you get what you pay for!) - Morale is completely shot, incentives are basically non-existent especially for management employees

      1.Very friendly Work culture 2. Flexi timing 3. Work Life balance 4. Exposed to latest technologies(for my cases, many others complaining about the old technologies) 5. Good pay when you join

      Cons

      1.No professional growth 2. Inept HRs 3. No exposure to various business except Verizon specific business 4. After 5 yrs u can become a Verizon Expert but u will not get any other job in the market as u havnt exposed to any other domain apart frm Verizon 5. Not so good projects. All are supporting the mother Verizon (US) products 6. Minimal salary hike (avg 4-6% and no other hikes) 7. No team outing no team lunch..ths is frustrating bcz we have delivered 2 end to end projects still wont get a single team lunch to celebrate ..our onsite mngr wanted to give us pizza treat bcz of financial compliance it cnt be happend.. VDSI sucks!!! 8. No Onsite 9. Google with "VDSI Sick" you can know all the cons.
