Pros

Verizon provides a wide range of job opportunities. Internal business and technical training is very good as well as competitive total compensation and benefits.

Cons

The IT and Telecommunications Service industry remains in a constant state of aggresive cost control that can require greater individual workload/working hours and regularly recurring workforce reductions. Large telcos like Verizon regularly re-organize in response to the industry and econonomy.

Pros

They offer very good benefits. They also have 401k match up to 6%. They give you $8000 per year for tuition assistance.

Cons

There's no personal life. The rules and goals set contradict each other. They set rules that make the job harder than it should be and to make you be a robot instead of using common sense. The job is very stressful.
