Pros
For the area that I live in, the work is an excellent compensation for customer service. The bonuses are top-notch, and the benefits are excellent.
Cons
The opportunities for career advancement are non-existent. Unless you have ambitions of becoming a management drone, this is not the career for you. Anyone with technical aptitude should look elsewhere for a permanent career. Moving from one department to another is nearly impossible. There is also the feeling that the customer support teams are "second class citizens." The intra-company praise is doled out to the sales teams on a constant basis, while the CS aspects are largely ignored, unless something goes wrong.
