Pros

Honestly a good company. Great benefits, great pay. Clearly have a great engineering backside to the company. Excellent financing/marketing/merch. Corporate is the way to go.

Cons

That being said, if you start low at Verizon, expect to stay there for a long time before you move up. Unless you know someone to help you move faster, or you are a stud salesperson, then you will take 1 to 2 years to make management. Store managers stay there for a long time too. Best practice: just apply to higher position first to avoid wait or go corporate (if you can).

Compensation and certain benefits. Opportunities to laterally move between jobs.

For a communications company there is a lack of it.

Pros

Great benefits and a somewhat flexible schedule. The benefits here start from the first day you are employed with verizon which is great.

Cons

You are required to work most weekends and holidays when you first start out. The hours are long and you don't get paid very much.
