      Pros

      Great company that is continuously evolving into a monster player in the entertainment world. We are innovative, we offer the most comprehensive HD package and we can play in all 3 markets, versus the narrow minded Cable companies. Additionally, Verizon has staying power, and we are here to stay. So, if we can make it past the growing pains, we will be the #1 provider versus #7, but look out Cable, here we come!

      Cons

      All leadership positions are filled in Basking Ridge, however, they do treat their high potential managers well. The only other downside is that they are trying to re-invent themselves into a power house internet and video provider.

      Its a big company. You can find a good jobs within the company...and bad ones. The benefits are a saving grace.

      Pros

      Good benefits: medical, dental, tuition assistance. If you like a challenge, then Verizon is for you. The company is engaged in many very challenging and difficult projects so there is opportunity to push yourself to the limits and learn new things.

      Cons

      work and life balance equals you revolving your life around work. Not very flexible with work schedules. Salaried employees required to work 60-80 hours in a given week without notice. Weekend work without notice. Very limited advancement potential.

      Pros

      Verizon Wireless is a Technology Company that changes daily so its not borring. It has good pay and Hires the best of the best. They take care of the customers more so then any other company I have worked for.

      Cons

      Verizon has changed some policys that were good for me and other reps such as the cfommision stucture. Its harder to understand now. in addition its not being payed correctly. I think another bad change was the fact that they are only pushing us to make calls more then anything else and making the calls is not working to do what they want. The marketing Dep should be bringing in more customers not us. I have been through 4 managers in 2 years they need to keep a structered managment team and also promote there good employees such as me. I have not been promoted and I dont think its easy to move in this company and there hiring process is very chaotic.
